Marcellin Foundation are delighted to announce the annual Friends of Football Luncheon will be on Friday, April 28 at 11:45am in the Marcellin Functions Room. Bookings are now open with the cost at $65 per person which includes a three course meal.
The Foundation and Marcellin College are also delighted to be hosting our friends from Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS). After lunch you will be invited to stay and watch the AGSV First XVIII football match between Marcellin and PEGS which commences at 2:30pm.
This function has proven to be very popular since its inception and we are expecting strong demand for tickets so we recommend you book early. Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club has dedicated tables to this function which you can select when going through the booking process.
This year’s panel will be hosted by our very own and Channel 9 TV host Tony Jones, father of current player Mitch.
The panellists are: David Zaharakis (current Essendon player and Marcellin Old Collegian), Dustin Fletcher (former Essendon player and PEGS Old Collegian) and Peter McKenna (former Collingwood player and popular former teacher at Marcellin).
Both Captains from the First XVIII teams will be interviewed by Ryan Edwards Marcellin’s current First XVIII Coach.
The day will begin with a relaxing ˜Drink on the Deck” overlooking the Bray oval followed by a delicious three course meal. At half time we, the Marcellin Old Collegians Football club will provide our famous afternoon tea for everyone to enjoy!
Everyone is very welcome to attend this event as we celebrate Marcellin and PEGS’ long and proud history of Australian Rules Football.
Proceeds from this event support the St Marcellin Champagnat Bursary Fund.
