The Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club is saddened to hear the news of player Anthony Salvatore being diagnosed with Lymphoma.
Anthony, a well renouned figure in and out of the club, has had a successful football career thus far, featuring reguarly in the Senior side which he has been doing since he was an Under 19 player. His hard work to succeed on the football field is a testament to his character, as his personality and ability to assist others has alread made Anthony a role model at the club in such a short time. Anthonys strong presence at the club will surely be missed as he undergoes treatment, and the many family and friends he has will continue to support him through this time.
An event will be held this Wednesday evening at St Clements of Rome in Bulleen that will aim to raise awareness for Cancer research. Donations will be collected throughout the evening, with these donations going towards the Olivia Newton-John Centre. All members of the community are welcome and encouraged to come, as we show support for Anthony during this tough time.
We all wish Salva the very best during this period, and will continue to support him.
