Congratulations to Patrick Hamblin on playing 100 games.

Patrick came to the club straight out of school after playing numerous games in the First XVIII. He settled in to the Under 19’s team where he played a pivotal role in the midfield and dominated many games.

One of my favourite memories of that year was when we were playing Mazenod away. Patrick, the night before, had a few too many beers and was a bit seedy. So mid warm up he ventured across the road to 7/11, purchased a meat pie, and scoffed it down.

After one season of Under 19’s, Patrick slotted into the senior team and in his first season played every game. Since then, Patrick has not missed a beat and has become a general down back. Doesn’t matter what opponent he gets given you know he will give his all. Patrick goes about his football in very professional way, he rarely misses training and gives it 100%. Patrick is also a fantastic club man and you will always see him showing his support at club functions.

It’s been an absolute pleasure being able to have played by your side for the past 6 years. You’re a fantastic bloke and I hope there’s many more games to come.
