The Victorian Amateur Football Association has postponed the start of the 2020 season to May 2. It has also directed all clubs cease training and practice matches until further notice.

As a result, our scheduled practice matches for the next two weekends have been cancelled.

Furthermore, the College has advised us separately that all College activities have been suspended for the last two weeks of the term, being the period March 16 to March 27.  This suspension includes Old Collegian club activities and social events and, as a result, all social events for the 2020 season are suspended until further notice.

The MOCFC Committee unconditionally supports both the VAFA and the College with their respective decisions.

The club has worked tirelessly to prepare for the upcoming season, however the safety and health of our players, supporters and other members is paramount over all other interests.

We appreciate the tremendous support of all of our players, coaches, families and supporters, and it is their strength that will get the Marcellin Old Community through this unprecedented situation.

You can read the VAFA statement here.

We will continue to update our community with any changes as the situation continues to evolve.  Please refer to the Club’s website for further information as the situation develops.
