Under 19s Head Coach

The Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club is seeking an Under 19s Coach for the 2022 season, with the role commencing in November 2021.

Overview of the Role

  • Responsible for the development of the young playing group as well as the implementation of football strategy. and structure
  • Communicating with the Senior Mens Coach, Reserves Mens Coach and Thirds coach consistently with regards to team performance, football strategy as well as player performance.
  • Responsible for maintaining key relationships within the playing group as well as with key stakeholders around the club,
  • Provide constructive feedback to both the players and the coaches.

Key Criteria

  • Ability to communicate with players, coaches, support staff and key club stakeholders consistently and effectively.
  • Adequate knowledge and experience in a coaching role, as well as a sound understanding of player skill development and training techniques.
  • Desire to uphold the values and objectives of the Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club.
  • Passion for the development of the young playing group.
  • AFL Level 1 Coaching Accreditation or higher.

Senior Mens Assistant Coach

The Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Senior Mens team for the 2022 season, with the role commencing in November 2021.

Overview of the Role

  • Supporting the Senior Coach in the development and implementation of the Club’s football program
  • Supporting the Senior Coach at training and on match days
  • Supporting the development of players when it comes to:
    – Football skills, physical attributes and knowledge
    – Physical and emotional wellbeing; and,
    – Personal character and leadership capacity.

Key Criteria

Coaching Strategy

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a match day coaching strategy in consultation with other coaches that is taught to players and implemented in matches.
  • Focus on both optimal team performance and the development of individual players’ abilities.
    Training
  • Contribute to training sessions by running and designing drills, developing individual player abilities, aligning player development with coaching model and strategy.

Match Day

  • Oversee line coaching duties on match days, which will include providing individual player feedback and comprehensive match reviews including a review of each game’s vision

Post Match

  • Reviewing player and game footage, as well as footage of upcoming opposition in preparation for the next week

Collaboration with Coaching Staff

  • Actively contribute to participating in coaching meetings, selection, delivering coaching reviews of players and displaying a collaborative approach within their coaching style.

Thirds Mens Head Coach

The Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club is seeking Thirds Coach for its Mens team for the 2022 season, with the role commencing in November 2021.

Overview of the Role

  • Responsible for the development of the young playing group as well as the implementation of football strategy. and structure
  • Communicating with the Senior Mens Coach, Reserves Mens Coach and Under 19s coach consistently with regards to team performance, football strategy as well as player performance.

Strength & Conditioning Coach

The Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club is seeking a Strength & Conditioning Head Coach for the 2022 season, with the role commencing in November 2021.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing aerobic, speed and strength programs specific tothe requirements of Australian Rules Football. This will be required for both trainings and throughout the pre-season.
  • Designing and administering injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
  • Assisting players with performance mindset, game and training preparation, nutrition and recovery.
  • Undertaking warm ups and cool downs (on both game days and trainings),
  • Tracking both game time, GPS monitoring and rotations (game days).
    Communicating, and building strong relationships with, players, coaching staff and training staff.
  • Ability to provide performance insight to the coaching staff and training staff.

Further Information

  • Candidate will need to be available for both training nights (Monday and Wednesday until March 2022, Tuesday and Thursday from then on) as well as thegame day (Saturday).

  • Salary will depend on candidates qualified experience.
